You could join an exciting Microsoft Gold Partner with this Lead Cloud Consultant job. Working on a fully remote basis, you will be leading cloud projects for their public sector and private clients.

Location: Remote plus 1-2 days a week on varied client sites in the UK
Salary: £60k to £120k p.a. plus bonus

The company:

This company is one of the worlds largest Microsoft Partners. They have a team of cloud consultants globally as well as in the UK and are now looking for a Principal level architect for the UK. This will be based remotely; however, you will be expected to work on client sites 1-2 days a week during projects, so it’s helpful if you are located near to the M4.

What you would be doing:

As the Principal Consultant, you will lead and grow the infrastructure consultancy side of the business as well as ensure first-class service delivery to customers. Your role will cover initial pre-sales planning, technical advice and proposal writing through to designing a strategy suitable for clients within their context and considering their starting position.

You will also be working with the operations team on project kick-off and leading the overall delivery. In addition, you’ll act as the trusted advisor and ongoing point of contact for clients and will represent the business to potential and existing clients in a professional manner.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Have various examples of full cloud migrations which you have led;
  • Have good knowledge of Azure services and standard patterns/blueprint designs for core infrastructure;
  • Experience rolling out O365 solutions and full migrations for large operations preferably globally;
  • Have a depth and breadth of knowledge from which to draw on to create valuable and implementable strategies and roadmaps for a variety of clients;
  • Come from a Technical Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Solutions Architecture, IT Consulting or IT Management background – specifically Microsoft technologies;
  • Have the experience and ability to communicate to a variety of senior stakeholders within medium to large organisations;
  • Be able to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Be able to identify and summarise value and benefits for a client from a range of options and solutions proposed by technologists and suppliers; and
  • Have relevant IT professional certifications which could be also implemented across the organisation.

One or more of these skills are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with AWS and pre-sales for AWS tools;
  • EMS;
  • Intune;
  • Microsoft Exchange;
  • SharePoint;
  • Teams;
  • Skype;
  • Microsoft Identity Management;
  • Azure IAAS; and
  • Networking.
