Curo was founded in 2006 by Karen Field and Mark Sewell, both ex-Directors of The Mandelbrot Set. Their Microsoft pedigree was built during their time at Mandelbrot, where they authored Advanced Visual Basic books for Microsoft Press as well as a wide range of Microsoft focused consultancy assignments.
When Curo was just a concept, the founders worked with a business coach to confirm their personal beliefs and values so they could be embedded into the company.
We do not just pay lip service to this; we run our business according to these three values. They underpin every decision we make when working with clients, our talent community and suppliers alike.
Curo believes these principles and the dedication of our staff has helped us grow year-on-year. Growth has required the addition of two additional Directors, Di Mabe (Client Services Director) and Treesje Verlinden (Chief Operating Officer).
Their appointment was quickly followed by a milestone in our history. In 2014, Curo was selected by Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) in the UK as their ‘Smart Team Freelance Partner’. This means that Curo run MCS’s freelance programme, providing all freelance resources required to support project delivery.
We have ambitious plans for the future and have already added Microsoft technology training to our portfolio. Other new services and technologies are due to be rolled-out in the next 3 years – benefiting both clients and our talent community.
